Cornelia Quick's Annual Report, Part 2
So what are you doing next year?
In yesterday’s post, I looked at what I did in 2024, and assessed what worked and what didn’t. I had some series that did really well, and some that did poorly; I hit on some good marketing strategies, and tried out some things that didn’t work as well. Overall, I’d say 2024 was a good year for Cornelia Quick Industries, and we can build on that success in 2025.
And so what about 2025? Here’s a sneak peek at some things I’m working on, or planning to work on. Note that all of this could change dramatically — I am nothing if not whimsical — but I’m lining up a mix of projects that are both of personal interest and, I hope, appealing to my audience.
Here’s a look at my 2025 Trello board. These are mockups of what might be my first four releases of 2025 (unless I’m distracted by something shiny, of course).
First, coming the end of January, is Matador. This is a bi-awakening romance in the context of a consensual cuckolding relationship. While not a huge departure for me — I explore similar themes in The Night of the Storm, A Siren’s Tales, and Season’s Delights — this one will be a little closer to the erotic romance end of the spectrum, with more focus on character development and emotion (though also containing your recommended daily allowance, and then some, of smut).
In time for Mardi Gras, I’ll have the third installment in the Carnival Dreams collection: Contact Prints. Like the previous titles, Matin, Midi, Minuit and Beneath the Mask, this story centers on a magical version of New Orleans during Mardi Gras, and features a photographer who receives some new (to her) gear for a special assignment.
I’m planning to finally get back to work on a longer story that has been percolating for a while, tentatively title “The Heart’s Hunger” — it’s a romance set in the least romantic of locations, the set of an adult film. You can read a rough sample chapter free on Medium, from the point of view of Tommy Dare, the main male character. Zoe Chapelle, the female lead, has a story in “Too Hot to Sleep Volume 2” and makes some off-page (but on-screen!) appearances in “How I Won Spring Break” and “The Betwixtmas Switch”.
And further down the line, I’ve got “Masks of Desire,” another story featuring the nameless narrator of A Siren’s Tales and Season’s Delights. This one was inspired in part by “The Moon-Spinners” by Mary Stewart, one of my favorite classic romantic suspense stories. I intend to allow the narrator to indulge in her love of classical myth, sensuous foods, and passionate sex, while also providing a fun and suspenseful plot.
These are my 2025 “passion projects,” the stories I want to write because they interest me, above and beyond their marketability. I also like to give my readers things they’ve told me they like, of course, so you can expect at least one more Dorothy’s Farmhouse Flings story in 2025, and also a Fox Run Swingers adventure that I’ve been ruminating on. There may also be a surprise sixth title in the “Mapping the Boundaries of Love” series, though that outline is still very vague.
None of these are quite ready to pin down for a release date, but worry not, you’ll be among the first to know when you can pre-order them!

it certainly looks like a great upcoming year, particularly with Fox Run (and hopefully something with our Betwixtmas friends), Mapping the Boundaries, and a bit more Dorothy.. again thanks for taking time from a busy schedule to create these Annual Reports. It’s like a Holiday Season gift from a friend.
