Mia's Patio Playtime
summer isn't over until Mia says it's over!
My latest story on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited, “Mia’s Patio Playtime,” introduces some new characters that I hope you’ll find engaging. This story — a playful, lighthearted gangbang tale (I guess that’s sort of my brand?) — revolves around Mia and Bobby, one of the couples at the heart of “The Betwixtmas Switch,” scheduled for release September 7, 2023.
I actually wrote this one a while ago, as a sort of prequel to “The Betwixtmas Switch,” though it’s being released first. I had started on the Mapping the Boundaries of Love series, which has some emotional intensity to it, and I wanted to work on something more light and fun. If you’ve read Off the Leash and Madeline’s Awakening, you’ll recognize Mia and Bobby as the more playful counterparts to Cynthia and Martin: they’re the center of their own little sex club, and are definitely interested in bringing more people into their orbit, but they don’t give off the somewhat sinister, manipulative, cult-like vibe that I get from Cynthia and Martin. They don’t seem to have an agenda beyond having a good time, and being sure that everyone else is having a good time, too — Mia is, I think you’ll find, a very attentive hostess.
Writing Mia has been a very different experience than writing Petra, Madeline, and especially Casey. While Casey has been an obstinate, willful character who refuses to comply with my plots, Mia is the very definition of “good, giving, and game.” If anything, she’s a little too willing to go along with any crazy idea that pops into my head (you’ll find this especially true in “The Betwixtmas Switch”), with a real improv-style “yes and” approach. If I’m not careful, she gets a little too good, giving, and game, and escalates a scene way too fast. In that way she’s a lot like Madeline, but maybe a little less unhinged: Mia’s not calculating, exactly, but she is thoughtful, and has a plan for her pleasure, whereas Madeline is carried to and fro by the winds, gleefully letting go of her inhibitions and allowing the passion lead the way.
Look for an essay this weekend that interrogates characters like Mia and Madeline (and Cait, whom you’ll meet in “The Betwixtmas Switch” — paid subscribers can already read “Cait’s First Gangbang”, a subscriber exclusive); I keep returning to this sort of petite and puckish sexual dynamo, and there must be a reason!
If you have a good time with Mia (and she’d be awfully disappointed if you didn’t), you can sign up here for my weekly newsletter and get a notification when “The Betwixtmas Switch” is available. And you can sign up here for my weekly newsletter and get a notification when “Casey’s Story” is ready to read, probably around September 14.
